Summary of above: I can connect to the internet reliably via physical link between my laptop and the modem, as well as my laptop and BOTH routers. - Check the setting in the Norton f/w.
- I have tried to flush DNS in cmd, tried to use line network connection(not wifi), and run installer and launcher of CF with administrator right.
- On my SB6141, it happened a couple of times and juste a quick cycle (off for 10 seconds) of the modem only seemed to fix it.

In mac address filtering, i randomly decided to block all the devices apart from my laptop, to see if that would do anything, and voila! I ended up calling Netgears tech support because I just couldn't figure it out. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended. I probably didn't think to do that when troubleshooting the problem initially, I always just reset the router after the modem.
My router does not show them, but they are on the network. With both routers, I am able to establish a reliable internet connection by plugging an ethernet cable into one of the 4 available ethernet ports. I could reset the router wirelessly via my laptop, yet this didn't fix the problem - so i assumed the problem was with the modem. (which unfortunately can't be reset wirelessly I plugged that one in and the same thing was happening!
The WNR2000 doesn't have a gigabit wan port, but the other routers do.
