all the icons went away , and even though I tryed loging in as a diff user and turning off/on , restarting, etc nothing seemed to work. Deleted explorer.exe file, restarted and all my icons, toolbar, and start menu appeared. Thanks! Vista , Win 7: There are two places that you can use the system restore feature from. I still don't know what made those tabs disappear in the first place but they are back now. check my blog It's very easy to make your computer non-usable if you edit the wrong entry.
