I have a rather unpleasant problem with media files described in this thread and I'd hate to have to do a clean install of Windows 7 because of it alone. Took the weekend off and we worked on it again Mon 4:00PM until 6:00AM Tue. Finally it installed and of course then after he finished I had to completely update Win Security about 110, the another 60 some and then another 40 or so. I also noticed about the same time that I tried to set it to use the ribbon screen saver and that doesn't work either.
To restore image backups, read this. Once started system gets to screen saying system restore initializing, and it just stays at that point with circle spinning. This goes on indefinitely and Restore never starts.
