System Restore Does Not Always Work.why?
I did all sorts of things to get that monitor happening like hard shutdowns which just prevoked the little monster even more & brought up all those messages at next start-up!Eventually EVEN if they don't actually run the restore. There is the possibility system restore is turned off in services. By running the restore in safe mode that should automaticly turn the anti virus off . Media files (sound and video) ARE important to me because editing media files is my main job. If you choose to erase data thoroughly, this will take longer but it makes recovering data far less likely. If this is not happening, Its not your hard drive. BTW I do not run 10 on any of my 4 systems, 3 laptops and build box. Once reported, our moderators will be notified and the post will be reviewed. On my Windows 7 I had to do a search in Control Panel to find Services, and when I found it System Restore also was not listed.
