It only happened in 2 of the 8 accounts on the computer so I would have to assume that some piece of software puts it there. I also looked to see if the system32 folder would show up on the other user on my computer and it did not show up. The line 260 / xp_systems32opens.vbs link did D-L correctly and was successfully placed on my desktop. My mistake was that I restored MSconfig to Normal Startup again after restart so, it kept loading the processes. In many cases the solution is actually just a little bit easier.
If that does not resolve the issue, #260 at Kellys Korner (as already noted) should resolve the problem. If it does not, then boot in Clean Boot state and see if the problem persists and if you can identify the offender. If a thread solution already exists, could someone please send me that link? Thanks! When i thought about it, the only new thing that i did was install "FIREFOX" browser at about the same time in both computers. It describes how an improper registry setting can cause the problem and one way of dealing with the issue - editing the registry entry directly.
