System32 Folder Popping Up On Startup


Using Autoruns, I discovered a Registry entry that prompted Explorer to open the system32 folder. Resolution: Use Registry Editor to view the following two Windows registry keys: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run Verify that all the values in these keys do not contain any incorrect, incomplete, or null entries Hope it helps it took me ages to find a solution that works. Just click "System32 Folder Opens Upon Boot" in the right column and you will be prompted to download xp_systems32opens.vbs. Can a different brand Power supply... If you don't have any strange values located in the Registry then chances are you have a invalid startup program or you have a startup program that is causing the problem. System32 folder still comes.
