Suddenly Slow Windows XP. WHY!?!
Many corporate and small business users have waited to upgrade from Windows 9x, and they now see WinXP as the stable, second generation of Windows 2000 Professional. Everything is running slow- games, IE, etc.- and when I check task manager I range from 10% to 20+% CPU usage (not sure if that's normal or not) when nothing but Windows Vista: 1. Win xp does not need any to start. He also stated that they considered using a completely threadless model, by installing the code as an interrupt handler.
