SOLUTION: He removed all drivers, and put back only the digitally signed one. Mine's 2.1 (it's in the bottom corner by the PCI slots) - there's a guy on the gigabyte forum running Ubuntu 10.10 on the rev 2.0 board who's not having this I list them here as part of the ongoing data collection.
